The Kōtui team has been selected as preferred contractor to deliver the Canterbury Multi-Use Arena (CMUA), a new centrepiece of cultural and sporting pride for the people of Christchurch and the Canterbury region.
The consortium, called Kōtui, will bring together local and international expertise to design the $473m state-of-the-art arena that will re-establish Canterbury as a premier sporting and events destination in new Zealand.
Kōtui is made up of new Zealand, Australian and international expertise in stadium architecture, engineering design, construction and fan experience. The team has been very carefully selected to deliver excellence, catch the spirit of all Cantabrians and raise the region’s sporting and cultural pride.
Led by Australian-based stadium construction experts, BESIX Watpac, Kōtui includes the local strength of Southbase construction and Fulton Hogan, local seismic engineering specialists Lewis Bradford, Christchurch designers Warren and Mahoney, and global stadium design professionals populated and Mott MacDonald.
The integrated experience represented by Kōtui has created and developed a lot more than 400 stadiums across Camiseta Selección de fútbol de Japón the world, including the recently completed 25,000-seat Queensland country bank stadium at Townsville, Australia.
